Short answer: Glenridding Ravine is in the Windermere area of southwest Edmonton, between Ellerslie Road and 41 Avenue SW, with the Whitemud Creek Ravine along its east side. There's no school site inside it, so plan on a school in a neighbouring community. The City adopted the plan in December 2016 and it's still building out.

About Glenridding Ravine
What it's like, and who it tends to suit.
Along Whitemud Creek
The neighbourhood covers about 197 hectares. Rabbit Hill Road and 170 Street SW are on the west side and the ravine is on the east, with a shared path along the top of the bank and four viewpoint parks.
Home types
Single-family, semi-detached and duplex homes, row housing up to three storeys and low-rise apartments up to four. A little over half the homes in the plan are low density.
Parks
Two urban village parks, three pocket parks and the top-of-bank path. There's also an existing golf course inside the plan area.
Schools and recreation
Confirm the school for the exact address before you write an offer.
No school inside
The City's plan has no school site in Glenridding Ravine. The public elementary school for the area was placed in Glenridding Heights next door.
New schools next door
In Glenridding Heights, Edmonton Public has a K to 6 school and a grades 7 to 12 school under construction, both with a fall 2028 opening. A Catholic high school there has planning approval and no opening date.

What's in the price
GST, landscaping, fencing, the deck, appliances and blinds are handled differently by each builder. I line up the all-in cost so you can compare homes fairly.
The lot
Grading and drainage, lane or front garage, and what's behind you. Ravine lots cost more and have a public path along the top of the bank, and 41 Avenue SW runs along the south edge.
The paperwork
Possession dates, deposit terms, what the Alberta new home warranty covers, and the walkthrough before you take the keys.
